Parallel to the offer of the SX-34B receiver,
there was a set consisting of a TX-400 tuner and an SA-400
amplifier. It was in fact the same receiver, but divided
into two parts. This set was one of the smallest
amplifier-tuner sets available on the market. And it is
about dimensions as well as power. The presented tuner has exactly the same electronic circuit as the receiving part of the SX-34B, except for the decoder module. The company used a module with the symbol AM0142 built on three lamps 6CG7, 6AQ8 / ECC85 and 6AV6 / EBC91. The knobs, switches and power switch are the same. The tuner was also offered under the Allied / Knight brand as the KNI-285 model.
